Khamoshi
(1969), one of the gems of the Golden Era of Indian Cinema, belongs to
my toddler days. I watched it very late in life. But its songs were
always around to mix honey in my soul. The song – tum pukar lo – sung by
Hemant Da, is not less than the Koh-e Noor in diamonds. The music is
also composed by him. This world stops for me, whenever this song it
played……
Tum pukar lo, tumhara intezaar hai,
Khaab chun rahi hai raat, beqaraar hai.
Honth pe liye huye, dil ki baat hum,
Jaagte rahenge aur, kitni raat hum,
Mukhtasar si baat hai, tumsey pyaar hai….
